Hello! My name is Chelsea Ratterman and welcome to Geek Girl Features! This blog started as a platform for my film reviews and has gone through various iterations over the years. But I’m back and we’r gonna talk movies!

 

Full disclaimer: I am 110% not a film critic. That is a job for those far better educated than I and who have seen way more movie than I have. I’m just a girl who loves all things film and pop culture. Plus, maybe some politics and current events but I will try and stay away from those here. Promise.

A bit about me personally: I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communication(Public Relations and Advertising) and a minor in Film Studies. Previously I graduated from Rose State College with an associate’s degree in Journalism, which is where I found out that I could write about films and people actually read what I wrote about films. So pretty exciting stuff.

Currently, I work as the Marketing Coordinator for the University of Central Oklahoma Campus Enterprises Marketing Department. We oversee a number of the self-sustaining, revenue-generating departments on campus, so most of the time you are going to find me running around the UCO campus like a chicken with her head cut off. I lead a really talented team of women and we are rocking it!

On the other side of that, I am also serving as the House Director for the Alpha Delta Pi chapter on the UCO campus. It’s super exciting but definitely contributes to my sheer exhaustion levels.
